European trip 2010 (1st update allready)

European trip 2010

We have been asked for the last 2 years to organise a trip into EUROPE.

SO HERE IT IS, You have 16 months to sort your self’s out.

The trip will be from Saturday 7th to Saturday the 21st August 2010.
(these dates may change, but only by a couple of days either way)

THERE ARE 2 OPTIONS

OPTION 1:-
Travelling down to the Channel Tunnel into France, down the west coast of France, down into Spain. We will carry on down to the southern coast of Spain to the Mediterranean. And then making our way across the coastal rout towards Barcelona. Then back up through France to the tunnel and home.

OPTION 2:-
Travel to Plymouth, get overnight ferry to Santander. Travel south to Madrid, Alicanti, Barcelona then back up through France.

The cost difference between riding all the way or taking the ferry is minimal. (the ferry is actually cheaper, taking into account for fuel and stopover cost’s)

The benefit of the ferry is that you will get more time enjoying the trip and more time to see the sites.

Obviously, we will post a more detailed route, with overnight stop over costs and daily mileage. We envisage a daily maximum mileage at about 250 to 300 miles.

We (The organisers) will be asking for £100.00 deposit before October this year. This will be non refundable. So only put your name forward for the trip, if YOU are serious about going.

We will be using a mix of friendly hotels and camping. And we will be making at least 2 rest stop over's of about 2 days each. (3 if we can arrange it.)

The idea is to have an enjoyable holiday with likeminded people, see some places that are off the beaten track and get a suntan.

We will post more details as the trip is finalised, BUT. We need feedback NOW.

If YOU are SERIOUSE about going, PLEASE put post your name up NOW.
WE need to know the numbers ASAP so we can check and arrange hotels and campsites and tunnel crossings.

YOU wanted it, so now get your names down for the trip of a life time.
